Falling in love is easy. Getting married should be too.

A little-used tradition that I think needs a lot more love? The anniversary dance. Instead of tossing your bouquet like a missile (which never ends well for the bouquet), you invite all married couples to the dance floor. The emcee (DJ, Band etc.) will ask couples that have been married less than a day to sit down. Then one year, five years, etc. Until the couple that has been married the longest is left standing. And you gift your bouquet to that couple as a celebration of their love. Call me sappy (many have before) but I think it's the sweetest tradition in the world. ❤️

Something I say--pretty much every time I talk to my couples--is "You don't have to do anything you don't want to do" There's no right way to have a wedding. Think cake cuttings are lame? Pinatas are super fun. Not into pinatas? Can I interest you in a magical private first drink? Want something more interactive? How about a first whipped cream shot on the dance floor? Weddings should be about you, your beloved, and what you love. Full stop. I promise we can come up with any number of ideas that 'feel like you'. ❤️ (For the record, I have nothing against cake cuttings--but they're not for everyone) Photos c/o: , , )

There is literally no point to this post except that I was thinking about this gorgeous wedding and wanted to share it. Experiencing new wedding traditions and cultures is one of my absolute favorite parts of my job.

"Be in love with your life. Every minute of it." --Jack Kerouac

I think this philosophy gets... misrepresented. It's not about being perky and happy even when life is, objectively, awful. It's about creating a life filled with love so that even when life IS awful, you can surround yourself with love and maybe even a bit of joy. I hope you are surrounded by lots of love today. 💕💕

Happy 1st anniversary to these two delightful humans! (Fair warning, this is part one of two because I simply couldn't narrow it down to 10 photos!)
Paige and Matt are unfalingly kind, warm, and loving people. Their wedding day was filled to the brim with family, dancing, and lots of laughter (all beautifuly captured by .) They put together a stunning wedding day (True story: My assistant upon seeing the full wedding party for the first time said "Are they all models?"), and danced all night long thanks to the wonderful ! Paige and Matt, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wonderful wedding day! I hope you three (and Tully!) have a wonderful day!

Happy anniversary Sam and Jon! With enormous affection, I refer to their wedding as the "Stars Hollow" wedding. Because, just like Stars Hollow, the entire day (and everyone there) was filled with incredible warmth, understanding, and deep love. Every single vendor from that day spoke about how warm and lovely not just the couple (who are amazing) but their families were.
This was a dream day--from the teary eyed first look the bride shared with her father, to the endless laughter with their bridal party, to the killer dance moves they showed off on the dance floor--it was perfection. I could go on and on about this couple and this wedding (keep an eye on my stories for more beautiful photos from !) but I'll wrap it up here. Sam and Jon, you two are beautiful humans, and I'm so so grateful that I got to be a part of your wedding day!

Happy anniversary to Alex and Kevin!!! Alex and Kevin are some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet who really owned the concept of a personalized wedding. They had amazing food, music, and invited everyone they loved. Alex handmade a bunch of decor, had a family friend do the (beautiful!) flowers, and kept everything else super simple. And it was perfect. kept the party hopping all night long, made a gorgeous (and delicious!) cake, and everyone danced, laughed, and hugged all night long. And I can't forget the late-night chicken sandwiches which everyone loved! Happy anniversary you two!
