Some fathers who are incarcerated have come to terms with the fact that they have left children in an extremely bad situation. Many of them know what it is like not to have their father present in their own lives, and they realize that they were looking for that father figure in the streets. They see what and where that has led them to, and they do not want that misfortune to befall their child or their grandchild. The F.A.C.T program empowers incarcerated fathers to make a positive difference in their children's lives by helping to steer them in the right direction. allows children to bond with their fathers or grandfathers through arts and crafts activities provided by the Mural Arts Program. A Key component of the program is the professional counselors who will be present to address sensitive issues that the children and/or mothers deal with on a daily basis, or that may arise during the visits or conference dinners.
