What a crew from Georgia that came to serve here in Philly!

We loved hosting First Methodist Albany as they came together to serve our community in a powerful way. In just 3 hours, they helped prepare 1,100 sandwiches, 1,000 meals, 750 shelf-stable boxes, and 500 breakfast and snack bags. That is more than 3,000 meals for our Summer Food Program.

Through moments like this, we are helping care for children, homebound seniors, and vets during the summer months, while reminding them they are seen, valued, and deeply cared for. What an incredible impact in such a short time. This is what happens when a community shows up together.

Friday Phun Day: Help Us Fight Summer Hunger ❤️

This summer, we need your help to prepare meals for our neighbors.

Hunger doesn’t take the summer off. In fact, it can be even harder. Homebound seniors face isolation and extreme heat, kids lose access to school meals, and many neighbors experiencing homelessness struggle to find consistent food and support.

With your help, we can prepare and deliver 100,000 nutritious meals and waters to neighbors who may not have food, A/C, or someone looking out for them.

Ready to share food, friendship, and hope? Join us here: www.caringforfriends.org/friday-phunday

May is Older Americans Month, a time to focus on health and independence as we age.

At Caring for Friends, we’re proud to be part of that every day.

For the seniors we serve, staying healthy often depends on having:
→ Consistent, nutritious meals
→ Reliable support at home
→ A connection to their community

That’s what we provide, through food and friendship.
