Feeling little bittersweet today. On one hand it’s international photography day and on the other I heard that is closing for good. To honor both I dug up some photographs.

This was a year 2015 and was shooting the assignment for at about dive bars, probably one of the most special editorial jobs I took part in. This eventually became a photo series I’ve pursued and named it Last Call. I’m certainly going to miss that smokey dark place where all walks of life could submerge into some kind suspended never-ending movie scene. That was the place where time was irrelevant and I’m going to miss it. We should recognize and cherish such places where we can experience an alternative reality. 🍻

As part of the overall cheesesteak feature for Philadelphia magazine, I went to Angelo’s Pizzeria (). The line was around the corner and hype is real. And I can confirm, it was worth the wait. I’ll be back there for another cheesesteak one of these days. Enjoy this quick PJ story!
