Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion
It is the mission of the TU Collaborative to conduct rigorous research aimed at developing practical technologies for maximizing community participation
Directed by Mark Salzer, Ph.D. Professor and Chair of Temple University’s Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, The Temple University Collaborative seeks to:
- target obstacles that prevent people with psychiatric disabilities from fully participating in their communities;
- develop the services and supports consumers and communities need to promote full integration into all aspects of community

This week at collab connections the staff learned more about how data is analyzed and used. Our team member, and resident data guy, Eugene led the discussion since he does most of the data analysis. This was a super helpful and informative conversation for the staff since we are often the ones collecting data..

Here’s a simple challenge for today:
Discuss the idea that “being in the community is part of health, not just treatment" with someone.
Share what you do in the community to feel healthier. Ask them what helps them feel healthier in daily life.
Our new training shows how conversations like this can shift how we think about treatment, recovery, and support.
