Plied up the Fat Cat Knits in colorway Salt Marsh. This was a delight across the board!

I spun the brown bobbin and part of the blue bobbin probably 3+ years ago. I finished the blue bobbin today. Talk about hibernation!

I filmed a video on a warping technique that speeds up warping a lot… 28 hours later I was taking it off the loom! It was 4.69 yards of warp! I haven’t yet measured the finished fabric, but it’s more than 4 yards (using body metrics for an approximation of a yard)

I just delivered the inventory for our holiday pop-up sale in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. The Philadelphia guild of hand Weavers is doing a collective membership pop-up shop to sell all the beautiful things that members have created well stuck at home during Covid. It’s a great place to find Beautiful handmade presents for friends and family. Come on down! There’s even free parking on Wednesday evenings for the holidays. Sale runs from December 7 through the 21st.

Getting inventory ready for the pop-up sale in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania. Various members of my weavers guild are pulling their inventories and offering them for sale for the holiday season. There’s even free parking on Wednesdays I believe. Come on down!

Weaving has been happening! These are mug rugs destined for our guild exchange in early December. Front and back are shown, and the third one is technically a squirrel but it’s hard to see.

I have woven just over 50 inches. Final length is to be between 80 and 90 depending on loom waste.

Day three and 10 inches are woven. The needle is showing my 7 inch measuring mark, and as I advance the warp it’ll travel.

Finished the rainbow scarf. I felt a little bit like an idiot because I had forgotten this was one of the yarns I got multiple skeins of, so I could’ve just finished the scarf. However I use the spare warp to play with pick up overshot a.k.a. crazy shot à la Myra Wood. It was really cool to work with, and I started getting the hang of it. I even got to show it to Myra in my weave in guild meeting. It’s unique from her book because I made the interest be the warp rather than the pattern left. It meant I was sort of weaving the overshot with negative space.

Real weaving is actually happening!

Unlike some of the other yarns I spun recently, since this one rested as well as it did it really needs its spa day. But I think it’ll be lovely when finished.
