Regrammed with love from

Two months ago we got invited to the to check out their playroom and provide some feedback on some updates they we were interested in. We were surprised and honored when they then asked us to redesign the whole thing! This was truly an incredible collaboration from start to finish - the Fitler Club is so dedicated to their families and we really wanted to give them a playroom that allowed for thoughtful play and community building, much like our own space. We were able to take to the design all the wisdom we’ve collected over the years - what toys spark imagination, how kids move around a room, how different spaces within the space invite connection and conversation… we felt totally in our element!

We are so grateful for the wonderful team at Fitler for trusting our vision, saying yes to all our ideas and being such accommodating and warm hosts and helpers. We also want to send so much love and thanks to our incredible staff for holding down the fort while we worked over at the Club, for her impeccable eye and design on our graphics, and .fas muscle and patience while we said “a little to left” 100 times. It was the most time we’ve had to be away from Kith + Kin and it was a great lesson in trust and that yes, we can outsource, and yes, things will still run smoothly. We may be behind on some emails and to-do’s but we are so glad we were able to take this project on and stretch the limits of our imaginations and creativity!

To Be Continued…
The Ongoing Legacy of UArts Faculty and Alumni

Atelier Art Gallery
1301 N 31st St Suite 2, Philadelphia, PA 19121

On view from Saturday, June 7 - Saturday, June 28, 2025
Gallery will be open Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays 1-6 pm

Atelier Art Gallery is proud to present, To Be Continued…, a group exhibition celebrating the legacy of the University of the Arts (UArts) Fine Arts and Foundation/Core Programs. Curated by former UArts faculty members Lauren Whearty and Laura Frazure, the exhibition will open with a reception on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm marking one year since the university’s sudden closure announcement.

This exhibition is a testament to the resilience, creativity, and lasting influence of the UArts community. Featuring almost 75 artists, including 35 former full-time and part-time faculty members from the Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Crafts, and CORE foundational studies programs, the show highlights the deep artistic lineage and mentorship that have shaped generations of artists. Each participating faculty member was invited to select a former student, reinforcing the multigenerational connections that defined the UArts experience.

Spanning approximately 60 out of 150 years of UArts history, this exhibition showcases how its faculty and alumni have influenced artistic movements and visual culture at the local, regional, and international levels. More than a reflection on the past, this event serves as a celebration of artistic mentorship and a rallying call for the future of creative education.

Philadelphia’s identity is deeply intertwined with its artistic legacy, from the Avenue of the Arts to its world-class museums and artist-run spaces. As art schools and higher education institutions continue to face challenges, this exhibition seeks to cultivate community while advocating for the importance of high-quality arts education. The need for creative learning—where young artists develop critical thinking skills, material knowledge, and forge new pathways for the future—remains as vital as ever.

This strategic union, which includes Transcon’s expansive 120,000 sq. ft. facility in the South Bronx, strengthens our position as a premier provider of fine art solutions. It enhances our ability to deliver unparalleled storage, logistics, and fabrication services to our valued clients. We are excited about this development, as it expands our presence in NYC and allows us to grow our shuttle services to better meet our clients' needs.

We had a wonderful visit from the talented artist . Make sure to read her fantastic full post below.

Special thanks to .mu.kelly

Posted • had the absolute best time touring .fas’ facilities & office today! massive thanks to Sarah K. & the entire Atelier team for taking the time to share the company’s history (2nd gen family owned, started by a local Philly artist, most employees are artists themselves), future expansion plans, range of storage options & packing services, fabrication shop, viewing room & gallery, & more. Both the tour and conversation were definitely a highlight of this month and the perfect closing to it.

this year i’m keenly focused on shoring up the foundations of both the business & operations aspects of being a working artist with a studio to manage. storage and outsourcing certain labor intensive tasks that i’m physically unable to manage on my own due to disability are a large part of that and challenges i’ve been seeking viable and affordable solutions to over the last year.

i’ve worked with Atelier off and on for various projects since 2021, and am always impressed with how they operate; investing in storage and utilizing more of their services just feels like an aligned fit as well as a cost structure that is accessible and will be sustainable for my studio’s operational budget.

anyway, just wanted to be transparent & share insights into a growing aspect of my experience as a working artist in case it’s helpful to another. it’s not one of the fun, glamorous, easy, or flashier parts, but it has quickly become an essential need and challenge to tackle.

here’s to growth and to more necessary, helpful resources and services for artists becoming more widely accessible and available. thank you Atelier for leading the way 🫡
