Recovery isn’t one size fits all.
Recover your way as long as it works for you.
Don’t dictate someone’s recovery.
It’s 2026.
It’s important to remember to support the individual, not the method.
It’s about keeping people alive.

We are saddened to hear the news of one of our community partners and friends passing away last evening.
Gary Zavodnick you were an amazing individual who touched the lives of many. We will miss seeing you at our partnering outreaches and events.
Rest easy, finally!
You were loved!
💜💜💜
TEP is heartbroken to share that one of our amazing cooks, Gary Zavodnick, passed away yesterday after a long battle with cancer.
If you've ever visited our site and tasted the incredible bread pudding, you can be sure it was made by Gary. Even on his hardest days, he dedicated his energy to cooking for our community. Despite oxygen tubing, limited mobility, and the challenges of working from a small apartment, Gary continued making rice and beans and, of course, his famous bread pudding.
Gary cared deeply about his neighbors and our community. In fact, he began distributing food from his own garage, essentially creating a community food pantry in his home. His generosity, compassion, and commitment to helping others touched countless lives.
We will miss Gary tremendously. Our hearts are with his son, daughter, grandson, and all who loved him as they navigate this profound loss.
Thank you, Gary, for every meal, every act of kindness, and every ounce of love you poured into this community. Your impact will not be forgotten. ♥
