For years when I was younger, I thought ‘Mama’ from The Goonies and Brian Johnson from AC/ DC were the same person.

Huge thank you to Kaitlyn Miller for sending in spiced vanilla cupcakes with her parents last night! I don’t normally go after desserts … but these? Yeah. I went back for seconds. No shame.

Perfectly spiced, ridiculously soft, and that frosting? Game over.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again … we have the best people walking through these doors.

Appreciate you, Kaitlin 🙏🏻

Be sure to give her a follow at !!

This isn’t dinner… this is a felony with melted cheese as the weapon.

We’ve got toast wearing a cheese toupee like it’s trying to disguise itself, and whatever’s happening on the right side of that plate looks like it testified against somebody and got put in witness protection.

Somewhere, a cast iron pan just filed for emotional damages.

Beans with mayo and cheesy toast 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🫡

The things people are using to save a parking spot now is absolutely ridiculous

A quick message from the kitchen 😁

Sometimes you taste something that sticks with you and you just have to take your own shot at it.

Angelica over at the Village Pantry put out an Italian Wedding Soup a while back that was NEXT LEVEL, and it got the wheels turning in my head.

So I figured… why not?

This is my first crack at Italian Wedding Soup: tender meatballs, greens, and those little pasta pearls all coming together the way they’re supposed to.

Is it perfect? Probably not.
Is it something I’m proud to put a spoon in? Absolutely!

Big shoutout to Angelica for the inspiration 👏

We’ll see if this one earns a spot in the rotation … but I have a feeling this isn’t the last time you’ll see it.

Come grab a bowl and let me know what you think.

My girl out there doing gods work 🙏🏻

Liz Kucinski and EAC Secretary Arielle Trost McDevitt managed to clean up 3 shopping bags worth of litter while hiking the Delhaas Woods at Silver Lake Nature Center today!

👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 “Integrity” is only one of the reasons McGillin’s is among the best bars I’ve ever walked into.

McGillin's hasn't served Guinness for more than 20 years.

Why? Because the brewery started bankrolling new Irish-themed bars around the country, essentially competing with its current customers and potentially putting independent bars, like McGillin’s, out of business. While Guinness was not technically breaking any laws, McGillin’s felt they were breaking the spirit of the law.

Instead McGillin’s serves O’Hara’s Irish Stout, an authentic stout made at Carlow Brewing Company in County Carlow by brothers Seamus & Eamonn O’Hara. Made exclusively in Ireland using Irish water and Irish grains. Like McGillin’s, the brewery is family-owned and -operated, not a big conglomerate with brews you can get anywhere. In addition to O’Hara’s Irish Stout, McGillin’s serves O’Reilly’s Irish Stout from Sly Fox Brewing, a dry Irish stout made locally in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

Stop by and ask where the “No Scruples” nickname originated. I’ll buy a round to the first person in the comments to the original post that can accurately explain it. 👍🏻😁🍺

Some days the chef brain wants to go wild … house sauces, crazy toppings, things stacked six miles high.

Other days? You remember why the classics became classics.

Turkey. Crispy bacon. Fresh lettuce. Tomato. Toasted bread. A little mayo.

The “No Scruples” Turkey Club has been holding down the sandwich game longer than most of us have been alive and when it’s done right, it absolutely still slaps (as the kids say).

No gimmicks. No nonsense. Just a plate full of something simple, honest, and ridiculously satisfying.

Served with fries and a couple Zayda’s pickles because … well … obviously.

Sometimes the basics are the best things on the menu.
