Call and tag Governor Hochul now: (518) 474-8390

New York needs to step up in a serious way. Families across the state are food insecure and we need every tool to make sure they don’t go hungry.

The NYS Food Rescue Tax Credit (A9329/S8878) reduces food waste, supports farmers, and gets fresh food to communities that need it most. It was in the Assembly budget. The Governor’s office is pushing to remove it.

At the exact moment federal food programs are being cut, Albany is making moves to weaken the safety nets of our most vulnerable neighbors.

One night. One million meals.
Last week we brought together some of Philadelphia's most passionate people at for an evening of incredible Thai cuisine by Chef Nok (), all in support of our mission to make sure that surplus food goes to the people who need it.

Together we raised over $100k. At $1 = 10+ meals, that's at least one million meals for families across the country.

Thank you to our lead sponsor , and to every table, donor, and guest who made this happen: Anderson Family Foundation, , , , , , , Mark Nicoletti, Drew Brown, Laurie Franz, and .

To Chef Nok and the entire Kalaya team, thank you for opening your doors and your kitchen for this mission. This is the kind of partnership that makes change on a meaningful scale.

See you next year. 🌿💚

Groceries are getting more expensive. But fresh food shouldn't be out of reach.
That's why we do this.

Today, we had the honor of meeting King Charles III at , one of our most beloved partners in NYC.

The King had a packed agenda on his visit to the US, but made quality time to visit Harlem to learn about urban farming, sustainable food systems, and fresh food distribution. Food waste and sustainability are issues that are close to his majesties heart, and we were fortunate to discuss our mission and what expansion across the US (and eventually the UK) could look like.

We could not be prouder partners of , who distributes over 300,000 pounds of fresh produce rescued through Sharing Excess every year to children and families. Together, we are changing the food system and proving that healthy food security is possible for everyone.

The New York State Food Rescue Tax Credit is a win-win-win.

⭐️ Food businesses are incentivized to donate food earlier in its life cycle
⭐️Communities get access to more fresh and healthy produce
⭐️More food reaches plates than landfills

Let’s use surplus as a solution to scarcity

Let’s free food.
