Dear PhillyCAM Community,
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of PhillyCAM’s Founding Executive Director, Gretjen Clausing.
For nearly two decades, Gretjen dedicated herself to building PhillyCAM into a vital community institution where Philadelphians could learn, create, connect, and share their stories. Her vision, leadership, and belief in the power of community media shaped this organization in countless ways, and her loss is being felt deeply by our staff, members, volunteers, partners, and the broader Philadelphia community.
We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support for PhillyCAM during this difficult time. More information about opportunities to honor Gretjen’s life and legacy will be shared soon.
With gratitude and care,
PhillyCAM Staff and Board

Philly - tomorrow is Election Day! This isn’t just another primary - it’s a decision that will shape Philly’s future for years to come.
On the newest episode of Philly Unpacked, politics reporter Carmen Russell-Sluchansky breaks down why the May 19 primary matters, what’s at stake in PA’s 3rd Congressional District, and why this election matters.
With Congressman Dwight Evans stepping down, Philly voters will choose new representation in Washington for the first time in nearly a decade. And in a district that heavily leans Democratic, tomorrow’s primary will likely decide the race.
As national politics stay gridlocked, more decisions around healthcare, housing, schools, public safety, and funding are being felt closest to home - making local elections more consequential than ever.
Polls are open 7:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. - and if you’re in line by 8:00 p.m, you can still vote. Not sure where to vote or whether you’re in District 3? Find your polling place here: https://seventy.org/find-your-polling-place
