If you're serious about gender equality, then get serious about climate change.
"Extreme weather events kill more women than men globally – the more extreme, the bigger the gender gap. Among the 150,000 people killed by the 1991 Bangladesh cyclone, 90% were women."
Worldwide, climate change is worse news for women Climate change isn't gender-neutral. The effects are likely to hit the world's poorest women hardest of all, because they are more likely to lack the resources to escape natural disasters or disease.
