The National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) is a 501(c)(6) trade association founded in 1980. Our mission is to educate, advocate, and empower for multi-ethnic diversity in the communications industry. NAMIC members are cable operators, programmers, telecommunication and new media professionals and entrepreneurs. They are frontline employees, managers, executives and eve
ry position in-between. Our organization contains members of multiple races, creeds and cultures—all committed to a future in which these differences are strengths. NAMIC is committed to continually promoting multi-ethnic representation and development in the communications industry.
-NAMIC focuses locally to create change globally. Chapters across the United States are NAMIC’s foundation. Membership is comprised of more than 2,000 professionals in 17 chapters in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Detroit, Mid-Atlantic, New England, New York, Central Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Miami, Philadelphia, San Antonio, San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California, St. Louis and Western Pennsylvania. In addition to local chapter affiliation, all members belong to the national organization.

Our leadership development programs give the tools for professional growth directly to employees; ensuring people of color will be a major part of the power base in the new millennium.
