And as more of daily life moves into digital spaces, the need for reliable access, digital skills, and trusted support only becomes more urgent.

From community internet models to digital navigators helping residents access financial tools, this work continues to remind us that there is no single fix for the digital divide. It takes organizations working together across sectors to meet the needs showing up in people’s lives.

Help shape this year’s Annual TLC Conference 🙌

We’re assembling a committee of TLC members to help us ensure this year’s conference is what the community wants and needs. Committee members will review program proposals, support logistics planning, and share ideas and input alongside the TLC conference team!

Our first meeting will be Tuesday, August 11, at 1:00 p.m. The committee will meet twice in August, followed by weekly meetings for four weeks in September leading up to the conference.

Digital access is essential to financial well-being.

As banking and other financial services move online, people need reliable internet, the right devices, and the skills to safely manage their money. That’s why digital navigators do so much more than help people get connected. They support community members with everything from checking an account balance to accessing benefits and submitting financial documents securely.

Reliable, affordable internet access doesn’t happen through infrastructure alone. It takes community.

Over the past year, we partnered with Philly Community Wireless on a series of community conversations, advocacy efforts, and awareness-building events exploring the possibilities of public and community internet models across Greater Philadelphia.

Our recent Internet Landscapes virtual event brought those lessons together and explored how local organizations can help expand reliable, affordable access in their communities.

Through this opportunity, we go to connect with adult education organizations, highlight our recent Digital Access Report and its findings, and learn more about how digital equity impacts Philadelphia's frontline adult education organizations.
