PFD Fire/EMS Explorers participated in the annual HERO Thrill show to help support first responder families. PFD Explorers are Community Focused and Response Ready!

Congratulations to four of our PFD Fire/EMS Explorers who graduated today as EMTs now working with the Philadelphia Fire Department. We are so very proud of you!

PFD Fire/EMS Explorers had a great weekend at Camp Response. Over 130 explorers, staff, and parents in attendance. Our PFD explorers participated in FEMA CERT training, physical challenges, night training, and social activities. PFD Fire/EMS Explorers are at CAMP RESPONSE 2026. Training in Incident Command Systems (ICS), Hazmat, and Mass Casualty Incidents (MCI), and Radio Communications. Explorers are training for their FEMA Community Response Teams (CERT). Over 130 Explorers, Parents and Staff in attendance.

Today was a wonderful day for the PFD Fire/EMS Explorer program. We now have four additional Firefighters serving our communities. From Explorer Cadet to Fire Cadet and now Firefighters. We wish you a safe and prosperous career. Remember you are always part of the PFD Explorer Family.

Our PFD Explorers had such a great day. Fire side covered flow path fire science, hose line rolls, fire hydrants and engine practices. EMS covered the muscular skeletal system and medical terminology. Philadelphia Fire Department

PFD Fire/EMS Explorers had a great community service day with installation over 150 smoke alarms in North Philadelphia (District 7). Thank you to PFD Cat 1, Engine 50 and our parents association for inspiring our young and helping to keep our communities safe.
