EII has merged with Penn Climate, blending resources and team members to drive climate and sustainability scholarship and action, leveraging Penn's formidable leadership and strength across its 12 schools, health system, centers, and institutions. The existing EII Facebook account will remain in an archive state, for those interested in past content.

Here at the Environmental Innovations Initiative, our mission is to support, connect, and accelerate Penn's research and education on climate, the environment, energy, and sustainability. Our small but passionate team delivers impactful programming like the Climate 101 series and Climate Week that convene, educate, and inspire the campus community. Our Research Communities program brings together interdisciplinary teams that are pushing forward the boundaries in areas like regenerative agriculture and climate education. We run Integrating Sustainability Across the Curriculum to forge new opportunities for students to gain a holistic education that will prepare them for tomorrow's climate careers. We create data-backed tools, such as our course inventory and faculty database, to facilitate collaboration and learning across disciplinary silos.
