The Philadelphia Orchestra, Principal Guest Conductor Marin Alsop, Wynton Marsalis, and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra all came together for an incredible night of music. The evening began with an electrifying performance of Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony. Then, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra brought the heat with a solo set that turned the hall into a jazz club. A breathtaking performance of selections from Marsalis’s “The Jungle” (Symphony No. 4) brought the evening to a monumental conclusion.
We cannot wait to do it all again tonight at Carnegie Hall and this weekend in Marian Anderson Hall!
