✨💒👰🏼‍♀️ Our hearts are so full. ✨

We received the sweetest DM from Kathryn Williams one of our amazing Flyers. 💛 She and her soon to be husband are getting married in Puerto Rico, and as they prepare to celebrate their big day, they made it a priority to share FlyDogzPR’s mission with all of their wedding guests and let them know how they can help rescue dogs on their flight home — from the wedding invites to the wedding website 💌

Kathryn, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for thinking of us during such a special moment in your lives. It means the world to know that our mission is becoming part of your celebration.

Puerto Rico is such a beautiful destination for weddings, bachelorette trips, family reunions, and special events. If you have an upcoming trip to the island, we’d love to be part of it. One seat on your flight can change a dog’s entire life. ✈️🐾🇵🇷

Because the more dogs we save, the more families we bring together. ❤️

Thank to Kathryn and her amazing fiancé 💍

THIS! This is what it’s all about! 💖

When you sign up to be a FlyDogz Flyer, you’re helping unite families with their newly adopted furbabies and giving rescue dogs a second chance at life.

A huge thank you to Michelle for helping transport little Cami to her new mommy, Sonia Rivera ✈️🐶 Cami is now beginning her happily ever after in Jacksonville, Florida, where she’ll be surrounded by love and a family of her own.

Every time you volunteer to fly with one of our dogs, you’re doing so much more than transporting an animal. You’re saving a life and opening up space for independent rescuers to continue saying “yes” to the next dog in need.

Shoutout to every independent rescuer, every Flyer, every foster, and every adopter. This village is changing lives every single day, and we appreciate each and every one of you. ❤️🐾

Congratulations Kami! ✈️🐾🐶🏠💖

C**o pero qué barbaridad … el mismo municipio pidiendo ayuda? En vez de ayudar el pobre perro 😫 … Acho de verdad que PR es otra cosa 💔

ENGLISH:
Proof of why we do what we do. This is a government-run page asking the public for help with a stray dog. Once again, the responsibility is being passed along, ultimately falling on rescue organizations and independent rescuers across the island.

The most heartbreaking part is that many independent rescuers are left carrying the burden because they simply cannot turn their backs on animals suffering from neglect and abandonment.

Using their own homes, their own money, because the government wants no part in being the solution.

This is beyond unacceptable.

If there is any organizations in PR out there that can help please DM us!

🐾 Necesitamos ayuda urgente.
💔 La turista se va el lunes.
💰 FlyDogzPR cubrirá hasta $500 en gastos veterinarios.
📩 Escríbenos si puedes ayudar o conoces a alguien que pueda hacerlo.

A HUGEEE thank you to Andrew for helping us transport little Jack all the way to New York! ✈️🐶🩵

Jack was an absolute superstar during his journey. This sweet puppy was all smiles, full of happiness, and soaking up every bit of attention from the moment he arrived at the airport until he landed safely with his next chapter waiting for him.

Moments like these remind us how powerful one flight can be. A simple trip that was already happening became a lifesaving journey for a puppy in need. 🐾

We still have plenty of pups waiting for their chance to leave Puerto Rico and find loving homes, especially in the Northeast. If you’re traveling soon, please consider signing up to be a flight volunteer. It’s completely free, easy to do, and we handle all the logistics.

One flight. One seat. One life saved. ❤️

OK here we go!!!

Many of you saw our story last night and the incredibly frustrating situation surrounding Luna.

Luna was found by a tourist who stopped and did the right thing by rescuing her. She was leaving the next day back home and gave Luna to someone who stepped up saying they wanted to give Luna a home and care for her for the rest of her life.

In. Less than 24 hours.

LESS. THAN. 24. HOURS.

The adopter decided he no longer wanted her and wanted to return her asap. The original rescuer (who is now in New York) contacted us with a desperate plea to help Luna! We agreed to help fly her out and found … not only someone who was flying to NY … but also a temp foster on the island who could watch her until she could fly out to NY in a few days.

And somehow it gets worse … Luna was dropped off to our flyer with a fractured leg and we had to rush and take her to an emergency vet!! What else were we supposed to do?!!!

Luna not only has a fractured leg, but she is also now dealing with a UTI 😡😡😡

We are angry. We are frustrated. We are heartbroken.

Because rescue should not look like this. But also that someone would take advantage of us like this!!

Luna still needs continued vetting, her puppy vaccine series, follow-up care, and treatment for her fractured leg. Once she is medically cleared and feeling better, our goal is to reunite Luna with the person who originally rescued her because despite being states away, she has been worried sick and just wants to make sure Luna is safe.

Today we are asking our village for help.

If everyone gave even a few dollars, it would make a huge difference for Luna and help us cover her emergency expenses and continued care.

Please donate, share, comment, and help us remind Luna that humans can still show up for her. 🐾💔

A huge THANK YOU to Miguel and his beautiful family for helping us transport sweet Mercedes to Philadelphia! ✈️🐾❤️

We truly couldn’t do what we do without amazing people like you stepping up to help rescue dogs get their second chance at life.

But what made this one extra special was seeing the little ones involved too 🥹 Seeing children show so much love, empathy, and compassion toward the stray dogs of Puerto Rico truly warms our hearts.

It gives us so much hope for the future, because if this next generation continues leading with kindness, compassion, and love for animals, the world is in good hands. 🌎🐶

Thank you for being part of our village and for helping save lives, one flight at a time. 🫶

lot of people ask us why so many people sign up to fly dogs with us. The answer is simple: because we need to get dogs off the island in order to keep saving lives. 💔✈️

The heartbreaking reality in Puerto Rico is that there are simply too many stray dogs in need of help and not enough homes available. To continue helping independent rescuers on the island, we often have to transport dogs to places where they have a greater chance of being fostered, adopted, and given the life they deserve.

This isn’t because we want dogs to leave Puerto Rico. We wish every Sato could stay on the island and find a loving home right where they were born. But the reality is that there are very few people stepping up to adopt homeless stray dogs, while thousands continue to be born and abandoned.

We need to do better as a community 💔

We need more people to foster. More people to adopt responsibly. More people to spay and neuter. More people willing to become part of the solution.

The reason organizations like FlyDogzPR exist is because we had to find a way to give these dogs a chance when they weren’t getting one.

And while we help dogs leave the island, we also work on addressing the root of the problem through TNR and spay/neuter efforts because rescue alone will never solve this crisis.

One flight = one life saved. One foster = another space opened. One adoption = a second chance. ❤️
