Introducing Mittens!!! Mittens is a 2 year old spayed female Aussie mix who weighs about 60 lbs. Mittens was surrendered to an overcrowded shelter in April with her brothers, Webster and Wallace. Much to everyone's surprise, the next day she delivered 6 puppies! Sadly, 3 of the puppies passed away as obviously this was a less than optimal situation for Mittens to have babies. We're happy to report that the remaining 3 puppies are doing well and Mittens and her pups are ready for their forever homes! Mittens is such a wonderful dog - you can't help but fall in love with her! She has a super cute personality and is extremely affectionate and social! Mittens LOVES people and snuggling and is thankful for any attention she's offered. She's smart and eager to please, walks great on a leash, and seems to be housebroken. Mittens has been great with other dogs and has been an amazing mama to her trio! This girl is ACES and we can't wait to see her thrive with a family of her own! Please help us find Mittens the doting and dedicated forever home she deserves!

FYI: Martin Luther King Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic for the holiday weekend from Saturday, 7/2 at 5am through Tuesday, 7/5 at 5am. As part of the City’s commitment to users of the trail, this closure is part of a series of pilot extended closures to increase safe recreational access for the public.
