Hexagon Studio Architects This is how nature behaves. It follows purposeful patterns, purely and simply, efficiently and effectively.

At Hexagon Studio Architects, we like to think that what we are making is a piece of a larger puzzle that in the end could fit no other way. So we feel that it is through this simple straightforward approach - where every decision is based on something important, and every resolution is an answer to a problem - that timeless design is achieved.

3D LiDAR scan of the site of one of our next projects.
The large dots are the various scan locations where the LiDAR scanner was physically positioned. Each scan creates a "point cloud" representing every object and surface within its field of view. Each scan's location is registered so all the individual scans can then be aligned into a single cohesive coordinate system. The overall point cloud is then distilled into mesh geometry that can be post-processed into whatever 3D modelling software you want.
Besides increasing accuracy and saving time, these plan view images of the resultant point cloud are hauntingly beautiful.

Help Protect ENERGY STAR — It Only Takes 1 Minute

The federal ENERGY STAR program—including the widely used Portfolio Manager benchmarking tool—is at risk of being eliminated by October 1, 2025.

This would be a significant setback for energy efficiency efforts across the country, with real consequences for homeowners, businesses, and communities.

For over 30 years, ENERGY STAR has:
• Saved Americans over $500 billion in energy costs
• Reduced harmful emissions
• Promoted innovation through a successful public-private partnership that works across industries

In just one minute, you can help protect this vital program.
Submit your support by entering your name, address, and email—your representatives will be automatically identified, and a pre-written message by The American Institute of Architects (AIA) will be sent with just one click.
