“Originally from the greater New York/North Jersey area, Rob Rutigliano has used the saxophone amongst other tools to make Philadelphia his home, starting at The University of the Arts.
Through the spectrum of black American music, from bop, to funk and global, on top of pop, theatre and classical, Rob has seen opportunity from opening festivals with The R2 Quintet, to one off’s with The O’Jays, The Temptations and the Broadway cast of Tina! and Some Like It Hot!, as well as multiple touring opportunities with groups such as Start Making Sense. Through such experience, he has seen venues such as NJPAC, The Kimmel Center, The Academy of Music, and more venues across the east coast.

As he sees the world, he gives back to it, having done work for schools in the greater Philly area, such as Gwynned Mercy Academy, Mastery Charter, Rutgers University-Camden, Swarthmore College, Temple University, The University of the Arts and beyond, seeking to inspire, and contribute further wellbeing to the communities that have provided for him first.”

Free Range is currently looking for volunteers to help grow and run our series! If you have been enjoying what we do and would like to help out, please fill out this questionnaire. Some areas of expertise we are looking for are: promotion, hospitality, audio/video. If you do not have any experience in those fields, please still fill out the form. We can find a place for you!

We are also going to launch a small organizing committee. This committee will meet regularly (probably monthly) to discuss/workshop how we can continue to nurture and improve this operation. If you are looking to get involved on a more administrative level please fill out the questionnaire.

Hope to see you at a show!
