This is my poet page. This is my official fb author page. I will post about my publications and related events--maybe other things too....We will see.
This is a good place to respond to my writings, ask questions, hold conversations, explore, let me know how the work works on you. I like that.

Writing Circles, Autumn Prayers, a New Poem -
Writing Circles, Autumn Prayers, a New Poem Dear Ones~ It isn’t often the Jewish New Year lines up precisely with the fall equinox. I welcome the extra power of synchronicity as fuel for my prayers, the muscular hopes I will carry with me into the new year. Before diving into the Days of Awe to gather strength with my local community, I...

The Omer This Year -
The Omer This Year Dear Ones, I hope this message finds you well wherever you are in your seasons. For us in Philadelphia this is the pinking time. Magnolia blossoms explode and weeping cherry trees pour over the bright daffodils still trumpeting their sunshine from the ground. The political news is at once horrific a...

Spring Is Here! The redwings have returned to Dixon meadow. I heard the song sparrow’s trill of the season for the first time last weekend. Winter aconite spreads its low, soft yellow in the neighborhood gardens, and the croci rise wherever they will to make me smile when I walk–oh the depth of those yellows and purples, the brilliance of white petals! The everywhere daffodils have begun to sound the trumpets of spring, and, as happens this time every year... -

Why I Sing: a Poem and an Invitation -
Why I Sing: a Poem and an Invitation The song fans the flame of the flower— that’s why I chant it. I am given a voice and I must use it, if I want my one wild lily ablaze in the field of blossoms. I sing and sing and sing again, because my life depends upon the proper use of this sweet breath, and the sounds one mouth can make to g...

Last Call! February 20 Writing Circle: Loving the Trees -
Last Call! February 20 Writing Circle: Loving the Trees Before the sap rises, a new year begins. Trees, stirring with the thought of what will soon be moving in their hidden channels, thrill with the very idea of flowing again. Treasure this time. Each human, set right, can be a tree planted by the waters.

An Invitation to Pause -
An Invitation to Pause I hope this message finds you caring well for yourself and others as we head toward the second Trump presidency. Those of you who followed along with me during the seven weeks of the Omer counting in April and May may remember that I plunged into a serious health challenge at that time, with a cripp...
