Michael Borowski
Pianist, Composer, Improviser…. jammer A graduate of Temple University, he is a man of many passions. As a child, Michael was surrounded by music.
There are two Michael Borowskis: One makes sublimely emotional solo piano music inspired by George Winston and Keith Jarrett. The other is a smiling affable husband and father who is involved with bands near Philadelphia, PA, and tours regularly with guitar legend, Steve Kimock. Growing up I was pretty much strictly a classical guy… it wasn’t till my buddy introduced to in the mid 90’s when I started switching interests to the whole band thing. For a while I thought that all “Jam Bands” were about interesting music with corny lyrics, until that same friend introduced me to . I was blown away but not only the musicality of the band, but also ’s poetic songwriting.. i became an instant fan. Little did i know that almost 30 years later I’d be up on stage playing music with Reid and his band, , playing the very same songs which inspired me when i was just a kid.. very grateful!
The life of a working musician is certainly a roller coaster, filled with the highest of highs and well, the not so high… 😶 Moments like this are pretty much as high as it gets, and makes me feel very grateful that i get to do this for a living
That Hanon exercise number 47 really came through on this double keys solo! .organ

Reflecting on the past week, cruising on the Carribean with , thinking about all the wonderful and one of a kind musical experiences… the one that stands out for me was watching Bill Medley of the pay tribute to his long time musical partner and friend, . I balled my eyes out, and am actually tearing up now! Thank you Bill and this is something i didn’t know i needed..
