Do you know about the upcoming changes to Medicaid and how your healthcare coverage could be affected? Thanks to changes from Washington, there are new work & reporting requirements, plus you’ll now need to renew your coverage every six months. It’s important that you watch for a letter from Pennsylvania Department of Human Services in your mailbox letting you know about the changes so you can be prepared. This week, I attended a roundtable discussion & tour with the PA House Democratic Policy Committee in Northeast Philadelphia at the Fox Chase Cancer Center to look at the work they do in research and treatment and how the federal funding cuts are affecting their mission. The elimination of federal funding for research and the loss of Medicaid dollars threatens to slow down or end the transformative work they’re doing to . I'm working in Harrisburg to counter those cuts and ensure that their work continues at Fox Chase.

I was honored to take part in the historic session at Congress Hall in Old City, Philadelphia commemorating and celebrating PA's lasting contribution to our nation’s founding. It was an inspiring event to be part of as an elected legislator.
