πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ What might America look like 250 years from now?πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

As the United States celebrates 250 years of democracy, artist Morgan Overton asks us to look forward instead of back.

Through graphite, watercolor, archival collage, and mixed media, America: 500 imagines futures shaped by Black self-determination, ancestral memory, and collective possibility. Her work explores the space between America’s promises and realities while asking what comes nextβ€”and who gets to shape it.

This isn’t a history lesson.

It’s an invitation to imagine the future.

Join us for the opening reception of this powerful solo exhibition by an artist whose work has been exhibited at the United States Capitol Building, the London Art Biennale, and beyond.

Thinking about exhibiting your art at 𝐍𝐨𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞 π†πšπ₯π₯𝐞𝐫𝐲? We keep a close eye out for these qualities:

𝟏. 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 π’‚π’„π’•π’Šπ’—π’†
We’re always looking for consistency, whether that’s through Instagram, your website, or the way you’re sharing your work overall.

𝟐. 𝒀𝒐𝒖 π’‡π’Šπ’• 𝒕𝒉𝒆 π’—π’Šπ’ƒπ’† 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆
Not everything belongs hereβ€”and that’s okay. We’re looking for work that feels aligned with the energy of the gallery and the community we’ve built.

πŸ‘. 𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 π’“π’†π’π’Šπ’‚π’ƒπ’π’† 𝒂𝒏𝒅 π’†π’‚π’”π’š 𝒕𝒐 π’˜π’π’“π’Œ π’˜π’Šπ’•π’‰
This matters more than people think. Hitting deadlines, communicating clearly, showing up when you say you willβ€”it all counts.

πŸ’. 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 π’˜π’π’“π’Œ 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍𝒔 π’π’Šπ’Œπ’† π’šπ’π’–
I’m not looking for trendy or copied styles. We want work that feels personal, intentional, and like it actually comes from somewhere authentically you.

πŸ“. 𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 π’•π’“π’šπ’Šπ’π’ˆ 𝒕𝒐 π’ˆπ’ π’”π’π’Žπ’†π’˜π’‰π’†π’“π’†
We want artists who are building, growing, and serious about being seenβ€”not just casually posting when they feel like it.
