AccessMatters Philly Youth Power - PHLYP have a lot of resources to offer this month!
PHLYP is hosting free, virtual workshops open to parents and caregivers of youth who have spent time in systems of care. They are also open to young people who have spent time in systems of care who are themselves parenting. The workshops focus on:
-Navigating Family Conflicts
- Understanding trauma
- Building Resilience
- Promoting Healing in your life.
Eligible participants will receive a $25 gift card from Amazon for each workshop they attend!

Today’s staff member highlight is Ciera Carter from our Project F.A.M! Program, who knew for a long time, she was meant to be a social worker. “I knew as a young teenager that I wanted to become a Social Worker. At that time, I was a Servant Leader in a literacy-based Summer Program for young children. After bonding with those children and witnessing my impact, I thought about what I could do with an education behind me. It was then, I knew that I belonged in a career that allowed me to serve others and have a direct impact on their lives. I love what I do and every day, even on the rougher days, I am fulfilled by serving others.” Thank you Ciera for the impact you have on young parents throughout Philadelphia!
