Aronimink, Merion, the Philadelphia Cricket Club. These are just some of the golf courses in the Philadelphia region recognized as legends of the sport. This week, as the eyes of the golf world turn toward Philadelphia, Cobbs Creek makes its steady return to that list of local greats.
Cobbs Creek Golf Course has long held a unique place in the City of Brotherly Love’s history. Its legacy is shaped by decades of community connection and a history rooted in accessibility and inclusion in American golf. Today, that legacy is helping inform a new vision for what a golf destination can be.
At the Lincoln Financial Center at Cobbs Creek, EwingCole, along with our design partners at , approached the center as more than a traditional clubhouse design. The result is a social, welcoming environment that brings together golf, dining, learning, and community gathering under one roof. Visual connectivity, flexible programming, and vibrant public spaces create an experience designed for golfers and non-golfers alike.
As golf continues to evolve, Cobbs Creek offers a model that looks firmly toward the future of the sport.

April is Autism Awareness Month—a time to reflect, listen, and learn.
At Ewingcole, we recognize that individuals with autism often face distinct challenges in healthcare settings, with research showing that overstimulating environments, unclear wayfinding, and unpredictable sensory inputs can heighten anxiety and impact care experiences.
As architects, engineers, interior designers, and design researchers, we leverage data-driven insights to create spaces that reduce these barriers. From sensory-friendly lighting and intuitive wayfinding to quiet zones and adaptable environments, our goal is to design healthcare settings that enhance comfort, support autonomy, and improve patient outcomes.
Design can be a bridge to equity in the care experience. This month and beyond, we remain committed to creating inclusive environments that respect every individual’s experience.

Big changes are coming to Prince George’s Stadium! In partnership with M-NCPPC and the Maryland Stadium Authority, the Chesapeake Baysox just broke ground on a renovation to modernize the 32-year-old venue.
The upgrades include high-def video boards, fan-focused improvements, and player facility updates that ensure the stadium remains a hub for sports and community in Prince George’s County.
With design by EwingCole and construction led by Gilbane Building Company, the project will enhance player development while driving economic opportunity for the Bowie area—all without disrupting the Baysox season.
