Since spring games have begun, I keep thinking about Bradley's Philly sports themed Bar Mitzvah. That night, there was an important Phillie's playoff game, and instead of fighting people checking their phones for game updates, the tail end of the game was broadcast at the party. The Phils won and the rest of the evening was even more pumped ⚾️ ⚾️ ⚾️ Of course, the night ended with a Philly cheesesteak truck for departing snacks!

Danni's Bat Mitzvah Part One

2026 was the year I was going to start sharing more of my work, and now it's almost February, gosh. I just have SO many mitzvahs to share!

At any rate, this will be part one of a series, since many of my mitzvahs are three separate sessions (my fabulous Mazel Session, which is a casual pre-mitzvah session, the synagogue portrait session, and then of course, the celebration party itself). Here are some from Danni's Mazel Session, and I hope this brings some sunshine to you on this snowy east coast January day.

I've been told by some of my adored "mitzvah moms" that they still use FB to research, so I'm coming back to life with my page and my goal is to show a lot more work here. I'll start with Soph's sweet Mazel Session.

We intended to get some snow shots, but it was FREEZING (even for me), and we moved indoors. Some of my favorite sessions are at people's home (I love animals, so if they're there, that's a plus) and in the kids' bedrooms. Don't you wish you had photos in your childhood bedroom? My bedrooms only live in my mind, barely!

I had to add one with the ubiquitous Stanley Cup. I'm not going to lie, I use mine at the gym every day! 💦

Lake life is THE life. Abbie's Mazel session. I loved photographing Abbie and her family (and bonus that I worked out next to her mom for a couple of years). Also, get me near a lake and I MELT - I'm such a tree-hugger! Ceremony and party this fall. I. CAN’T. WAIT.

Okay, don't you think Jack looks a little like a young Sean Penn? Anyway, he's as charming as they come, witty and fun-loving, a bit of merry prankster but kind and sweet. I can't wait for his party this fall at one of my favorite venues. Mazel Jack!
