Philly Book Bank is opening a new hub at
📍 4240 Chestnut Street (IFS Building)

We’re proud to be partnering with Intercultural Family Services (IFS) to expand access to books for students and families, across the city.

Access to books changes outcomes — and this new space helps us reach even more children in West Philadelphia and beyond.

We’re working quickly behind the scenes to get the hub ready and can’t wait to open our doors.

The Philly Book Bank will be closed for both donations and pickups on Wednesday, January 27, 2026.

At a time when we pause to reflect on all we’re thankful for, the Philly Book Bank is feeling extra grateful.

This year started out a bit rough, but thanks to the incredible support of our partners, teachers, families, volunteers, and donors, we’re finishing stronger than ever — and giving out more books than at any point in our history.

Every shared story, every packed box, every classroom visit, every book placed in a child’s hands… it all happens because of you.

Thank you for lifting us up, believing in our mission, and helping us bring the joy of reading to kids across Philadelphia. We couldn’t do this without you — and we are so grateful to everyone who has walked beside us this year.
