A beautiful day at the Labyrinth, celebrating World Labyrinth Day.

World Labyrinth Day, Walk As One at One was a success. We had walkers, we had a dog, mother and child, and baby...it was spectacular. The sky opened with a rainbow shining upon us as we reached the center. It was a lovely, lovely day and walk for Peace.

Staff reset through walking. I finally met Alan Cowley of Golden Thread Labyrinths and missed capturing a photo - next time for sure. I collaborated with Alan on a labyrinth walk for Uplift Grief Center. It was exciting to witness him crafting the Grossembrot labyrinth using a tape machine. This 15-foot labyrinth featured a 10-inch path, fitting for the space. Facilitating the introductory walk for Alan and staff was truly rewarding.

Rediscovering calm. What a great chance to lead a mid-day walk with Indego bikes and take a moment to breathe and reset.

It's been a wonderful time spent with the students at James Rhoads Elementary School. Believe it or not, this is where I went to school. Same location, same mascot...the owl. I was invited to host my after-school labyrinth program, Labyrinth Explorers. We learned about the spiral, the labyrinth, courage, how to draw and walk each of them, by hand, by foot, and we included music, dance, and quiet in the center. I was most happy that my trauma-informed, Labyrinth Facilitation, and working with children, all meld and helped me create this program and bring it to my neighborhoods' school. The labyrinth is a great contemplative tool for children as it invites play to its path and sense of calm and belonging. My group loved it. They felt good after walking. Yesterday was the last day of the 6-week afterschool program, and I was delighted to see their faces as I handmade the owl labyrinths as part of their closing gift.

One step forward, never step back. Keep going, keep going. The path is a path to discovery, clarity of mind and thought. Be open to what unfolds. Walk.
