As part of EverVet's Learning & Development team, EverNerds creates meaningful opportunities for veterinary professionals to learn, grow, and connect. From clinical medicine and patient care to leadership, communication, and professional development, our CE programs are designed to support lifelong learning across every stage of a veterinary career.

EverNerds is made possible through the passion and dedication of Dr. Joanna Fry, DVM, DACVIM, MBA, Vice President of Veterinary Leadership & Development, and Jessica Wilson-Hess, Director of Technician Development, whose commitment to education helps foster a culture of growth across our network.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

We also recognize the military working animals who served alongside them with loyalty, courage, and dedication, including dogs, marine mammals, equines, pigeons, and many other animals who played important roles throughout history.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Sarah Cover to the team at Landrum Veterinary Hospital! 🩺🐾

Dr. Cover earned her veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, and brings a passion for exotic animal medicine, infectious disease, and compassionate patient care.

Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Dr. Cover shared that what excites her most about joining the Landrum team is the great atmosphere and opportunity to see more exotics. She also recently attended additional training focused on raptor medicine, further expanding her interest in exotic animal care.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Cover enjoys dance and learning new languages, and we are excited for the Landrum community to get to know her.

Recently, members of the EverVet team had the opportunity to attend the Purina VIP Engagement Tour in St. Louis — an experience filled with education, collaboration, and behind the scenes insight into the innovation and research that supports veterinary nutrition.

From touring Purina’s Pilot Plant, Quality Assurance Lab, and Purina Institute, to learning more about the science and history behind their products, the experience offered valuable perspective on the work that goes into supporting pets and the veterinary profession.

The trip also included some incredible St. Louis experiences, including the Purina Incredible Dog Team Demonstration, a visit to CityPark, home of St. Louis CITY SC, and a tour of the iconic Budweiser facilities.

A special thank you to Dr. Callie Harris for her continued support of our CE initiatives and for sharing additional educational opportunities throughout the trip. We are also incredibly grateful to Brendan Mannion and Michelle Robinson for helping make this experience possible and for their support throughout the event.

Lauren was drawn to EverVet because of our culture, values, and shared mission of helping others.

What Lauren enjoys most about working in veterinary medicine is that no two days are ever the same. She loves a good challenge, enjoys helping others, and is passionate about supporting teams both internally and externally.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys cooking, baking, kickboxing, DIY projects, concerts, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves beach trips to Cape May, NJ and Ocean City, MD. While she is not currently a pet owner, she grew up with a Miniature Dachshund named Mocha and cannot wait to welcome a puppy into her family in the future.
