Tour-214
Tour 214 is a collaborative veteran effort to rebrand the transition. "Transition" ill-defines our direct needs.
Instead, we are talking about an additive process, building on our identity and re-integrating in positive and progressive ways.

For our fourth , we’re introducing Sam, our fearless leader and founder!
”Hey everyone, I’m Sam, nice to meet you. I’m proud to work with Tour 214 and to be a part of a team challenging ‘the way it’s always been done.’ We’re reaching past the superficial and are seeking feedback, input, stories, and more from service members to directly impact our service and our culture.”
Sam was a US Navy submariner for 7 years (well, 6 years and 9 months...) He served aboard the USS Virginia, SSN 774, then trained and evaluated crews in submarine tactics for deployment readiness. Today, Sam is “just trying to figure it out”… or something like that. He loves mentorship, learning, and leadership and sees space for all of these and more in his life. It’s part of the reasoning behind his founding of Tour 214. Much of his time is spent exercising, drinking coffee, reading, Zoom-ing, and…more Zoom-ing.
If you are a veteran or active duty service member, we would love to hear your story! Tuesday is exciting because of !! The team member we’re introducing this week is Sarah P!
“I joined Tour 214 because I believe there is a better way to transition from the military. I think the assimilation back to civilian life can and should be an exciting time, as free of stress as possible. Tour 214 is seeking to create a program to make that kind of transition a reality.”
Sarah was in the US Navy for four years where she worked on MH-60 helicopters in San Diego, CA. She finished her associate’s in Psychology at the Community College of Philadelphia this summer and is going on to complete her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University. She likes to play board games, bike and run through the city, read books, chill at the park, and be with loved ones. She has one cat, Turbo.

Tour 214 is a collaborative veteran effort to rebrand the military to civilian transition. Transition, by definition, asks you to change from one condition to another instead of asking you to build on your identity. We are talking about an additive process with re-integration in positive, supportive, progressive, and…dare we say fun, ways.
Our first step is to hear from you, from active, reserve, separated, or retired service members, about your transition. Together, we can reimagine what it means to transition!
