My firstborn, my baby, Moogle—I can’t believe you’re gone.
I got you at 8 weeks old, almost 16 years ago.
You survived seizures, a heart murmur, small cell intestinal cancer, and cancer in your leg—but kidney disease finally caught up.
I will miss your screaming day and night; you always had so much to say.
My heart is broken. I don’t like this new normal.

VERY late posting this so… throwback Thursday it is ✨
Last year at , I had the honor of moderating opening night for —and honestly, it was a dream combo. If you know me, you know I love body horror and unpacking what it means to be Asian American. Getting to sit down with the film’s stars and Roger Huang and dive into both? Pretty damn special.
If you haven’t seen Slanted yet, it’s playing now—don’t miss it.

Mixie bff date night with my birthday twin at and honestly… we ate DOWN. 🍣✨
Everything was so good and the vibes were immaculate, but the crispy rice? Absolutely the main character.
Already planning the next visit.

Very last minute (like… late last night) my friend and someone I deeply admire, , asked me to jump in and moderate “Being a Person of Color on Broadway” at 🎭
I had the honor of sharing space with , Cyrus, and —three artists who are not just talking about change, but actively shaping it.
I spent 35 years as an actor, and the challenges I faced growing up—and well into adulthood—are still painfully relevant today. Being a person of color in this industry often means working 10x harder than our white peers, while navigating microaggressions, blatant racism, and systemic gatekeeping.
This conversation only scratched the surface—but it was necessary. If we want to see our stories told and our faces represented on stage, we have to be brave enough to speak our truth and challenge the narratives that keep so many talented POC artists from thriving.

Last week I got to represent
Storyteller Spotlight celebrating Rachel Kondo.
It was so wonderful connecting with so many AANHPI and mixed Asian creatives. Days like that remind me why representation, inclusion, and real storytelling matter. It’s powerful to see our communities actually supported and visible—not just talked about.
Thank you for creating this beautiful authentic space. I’m so looking forward to working with y’all in 2026!
More rooms like this. More voices at the table. More stories told by us, for us.
