We’re honored to announce that GDLOFT has been selected as a winner of AIGA’s 50 Books | 50 Covers of 2024 for our design of Rising Sun: Artists in an Uncertain America.

Created for the and , the catalog reflects themes of identity, democracy, and transformation — using shifting gradients, blind embossing, and foil stamping to mirror the exhibition’s central question: Is the sun rising or setting on the experiment of American democracy?

We’re excited to share that GDLOFT has been recognized in AIGA’s 50 Books | 50 Covers of 2024 for our cover design of Rising Sun: Artists in an Uncertain America.

Created for the African American Museum in Philadelphia and PAFA, the catalog explores themes of identity, democracy, and transformation through layered color, texture, and tactile design.

The shifting gradients, blind embossing, and matte foil stamping were all intended to mirror the exhibition’s central question: Is the sun rising or setting on the experiment of American democracy?

We’re deeply honored to see this project included among such inspiring works from designers around the world.

📣Proud to share our latest work with Lutheran Settlement House — a Case for Support brochure created to inspire major donors, board members, and public officials.

This piece tells the story of LSH’s vital work in Philly, from supporting survivors of domestic violence to fighting food insecurity and homelessness. Designed to open doors, start conversations, and drive impact. 💜

A big thanks to Matt and his students in the Business of Design class at Tyler School of Art and Architecture for stopping by yesterday to visit us at GDLOFT. The students were very engaged and curious about the work we create at the studio. Thanks again for the wonderful conversation and questions.
