Somehow this farmers market felt like a family reunion ❀️

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the collective energy of this community. From our vendors, to the farmers, our dream team, the babies, the elders, and everyone in between... THANK YOU for celebrating Juneteenth with us and helping this sacred dreamseed sprout!🌱

We will continue hosting markets every first and third Friday of the month. ✨Our next market will be JULY 3RD!✨

There's something nourishing about the sweet sounds of our little ecosystem here πŸ˜ŒπŸ¦‹βœ¨

Last week we planted 400 native pollinator plants, harvested herbs for drying, and talked about what "side quests" we're on to keep adulthood fun lol and overall simply enjoyed one anothers company as we tended to the land.

In just a few short weeks we'll share an update on how the plants and pollinators are enjoying their new home here at One Art! 🌻🐝πŸ₯°

Special thanks to all the volunteers who came out as well as The Xerces Society & Penn State Extension for the support on this project

We have our first farmers market this Friday on Juneteenth from 5-8, come by and hang out with us in the One Art Oasis and Farm🫢

Liberation = Freedom to CHOOSE what nourishes us. πŸ₯¬πŸ₯¦πŸ…πŸ«œπŸ«›

On Juneteenth we launch our Farmers Market & Vendor Village series at One Art Community Center. β€οΈπŸ–€πŸ’š

You can meet the farmers whose hands planted the seeds, tended the soil, and poured their love and labor into the harvest. We want you to trust in the food that ends up on your kitchen table nourishing you and your family.

We're creating a space intentionally for collective joy and food sovereignty. Come shop local, support Black and Brown growers and makers, enjoy good food and music, and spend a beautiful evening with neighbors under the lights of the Oasis as the sunsets.✨

This is a free, family-friendly offering, and everyone is welcome.πŸ₯°

Come help us celebrate the launch of this new tradition!πŸ¦‹ FREETHELAND

This will be a big project so we're calling in all hands on deck to help these pollinators feel good in their new home!✨🌱🐝

These are Xerces Pollinator Habitat kits to support our local bees, butterflies and more! We partnered with an amazing team from Penn State Extension master gardeners who have helped us design our layout and planting guide for the day.

All materials will be provided. Come get your hands in the soil and learn about the importance of protecting our pollinators! Link in bio to register πŸ¦‹
