What’s going 🤷🏻‍♀️on inside that pretty little foot coffin 😛called a pointe shoe! . Let’s take a 🫣 peek: 💪🏼Pointe shoes are generally 2-3 sizes smaller than your sneaker size. So it’s a snug fit. 💪🏼The force through the foot increases with body weight, with a 100-pound dancer potentially experiencing 1,200 pounds of pressure on their toes. 💪🏼Young dancers generally don’t get pointe shoes until their foot has stopped growing to encourage foot health. That’s usually around the age of 11-13 years old. . It’s sooooo important to train properly and do exercises to strengthen and lengthen the toes, metatarsals and ankles for pointe work and for life work!
