Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society - 2021 Philadelphia Classical Guitar Competition Registration There are two separate divisions: 1. The Adult Division is a national competition open to advancing classical guitarists who must be 18 years of age by April 1st, 2021 and residing in the United States.

The deadline for our competition is coming up. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST 2/15/2021

Preliminary round recordings may be individual recordings for each piece.
Those who make it to the semi-finals will submit one unedited performance video that will be used for the finals as well.

Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society - 2021 PCGS Competition The Philadelphia Classical Guitar Competition is part of the Annual Philadelphia Classical Guitar Festival and will take place online via Audio and Video recordings.

Great news! We've decided to take our competitions online in 2021.

Look out for more information to come shortly but the main thing to know is that our preliminary round deadline will be 2/15/2021 by 11:59 PM EST. Competitors will have to perform at least 2 contrasting pieces, up to 15 minutes for Adult Division, up to 10 minutes for Junior Division.

The Adult Division is open to anyone 18 or older as of April 1, 2021, residing in the United States.

The Junior Division is open to anyone 18 or younger residing in the United States.

The Preliminary Round will be blind judging so only audio is necessary. Those who move on to the semi-final round will record a video performance. This recording will be used for the Semi AND Final round if chosen to advance. The Final round recordings will be posted online as part of the Annual Festival on April 10th and 11th followed by the announcements of the winner.
