Perry brings vast knowledge of the hospitality industry to engage clients in strategic ways as well as push new boundaries to expand Pacer’s brand. Perry’s experience includes 22 years with Marriott where his last role was VP of Global Property Management Systems. Perry developed new ways to drive growth and performance through significant initiatives and hotel openings. In addition, Perry was a visionary in the global implementation of Land-It [Pacer]. He understands Pacer’s consumers and the benefits of using Pacer to grow their company through engaging tools for General Managers to implement projects.

Please meet one of our Pacer team members, Serena P, a junior application developer who shared with us a little bit about herself:

Q: Before working here, what was an exciting job you had?

A: For a period of time, I was working as a background actor in New York City. I had the opportunity to be on many TV shows and had lots of novel experiences and interesting anecdotes. It was really eye opening to see what goes on behind the scenes in movie and tv production.

Q: When did you first become interested in technology? What drew you to that field?

A: I've known that I wanted to go into technology since I was in high school. I wanted to help innovate new technologies that will help people and society. I think what drew me to it was the limitless possibilities and the fast-paced transformation of it. It's what initially inspired me to study mechanical engineering.

Q: What type of music/artists/bands are on your current playlist?

A: I have to admit I am not a big music person, but when I am in the mood, I listen to pop music, generally what's popular on the radio.

Q: What does International Women's Day mean to you?

A: My family actually tried to dissuade me from studying mechanical engineering at first, saying that it was too heavily male dominated and was worried that I would be at a disadvantage. International Women's Day, to me, means celebrating the women who met with similar opposition and powered through it with unrelenting determination to create a foundation for the future where such concerns would no longer be holding back the next generation of women.

NEW FEATURE ALERT: TASK BUDGET + ACTUAL

Two new fields are now available on each task to track Budget and Actual numbers. Originally intended to track financials you could also use the fields to track time/hours. If you are focused on pre-opening or conversions, this can be a way to increase visibility and keep an eye on spending for your teams.



The individuals who you designate will have the ability to add or edit the budget field. Permissions can be set on the User Profile page via the toggle “Allow Location Task Budget Entry.” Anyone on the team can enter numbers to actual field. Changes to Actual and Budget numbers are tracked in the History section.

These values are summed and displayed on the Dashboard to provide your team visibility and tracking. In addition, a spreadsheet-like entry option is accessible from the Dashboard so that you can enter budget or actual figures in bulk or copy/paste from Excel.
