Prosperity Community Outreach

Thank you to all our volunteers who came out and volunteered their time to help build sheds that will be put in the backyards of habitat-built homes in Philadelphia (primarily in the strawberry mansion neighborhood) that do not have basements, as a means for homeowners to have storage! We were the first volunteer group ever to participate in such a build w/habitat philly.

We love working alongside PHM and are inspired by their passion and commitment to the work of homeownership and affordable housing. PHM has volunteered with Habitat in many ways including framing walls at our Coltrane Commons build site, building Adirondack chairs for future homeowners and assembling furniture and unloading trucks at our ReStore. We are thankful to work alongside PHM and continue the mission of building and repairing more homes in Philadelphia.

The 2023 Industry Partner of the Year Award was presented to Gwen Goins, Prosperity Home Mortgage.

Gwen is a veteran and a lender with over 36 years of experience in mortgage origination. She serves as the 2023 Chair of the KCRAR Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and frequently volunteers her time to speak at educational events for agents and consumers.
