Trying to draw trauma is really weird. Lately I’ve been flirting with the concept of old wounds being reopened. I can never quite describe to people what it feels like when I attach to something that brings back all of that uncertainty and fear from childhood. But lately it’s felt like this. Making art for art’s sake and not worrying about what comes out of it has been incredibly healing.
