Elemental Wellness-Health

How many times have you described how you feel as 'fine'? There is nothing wrong with 'fine', I suppose. But wouldn't you rather feel GREAT?!

Want to feel better than just 'fine'? We can help.

We have grown accustomed to just surviving. It seems normal to us. Just making it through one hardship to next. Stress upon stress. Task upon task.

We think it's normal and we shouldn't feel so tired and overwhelmed and unhappy. We should be able to handle it.

But that's a lie. It IS too much. You ARE too busy. You DO have too much responsibility.

You ARE NOT weak or lazy or a incapable or any of the other things you tell yourself.

There is a way to THRIVE instead of just SURVIVE. There is a better way to live.

Stress can really bring down the immune system and make you vulnerable to getting sick. So nurturing fun is nurturing the immune system!

Laughing, playing, and just plain having fun calms the nervous system and reduces stress hormones. This more natural state of being allows the immune system to thrive and do it's job.

What do you like to do for fun? Not sure? You're not alone. A lot of people forget what it means to just have fun without deadline or judgement. It can take practice and prioritization.

To get started, try playing a favorite song in your living room...loud...and dance!

Join us for our Monthly Wellness Workshop (free!)

Our Wellness Workshops are designed to make health and wellness education approachable, practical, and easy to apply in everyday life. Each month, we explore a different wellness-focused topic in a supportive virtual setting where participants can learn from the comfort of home.

This month we will be focusing on Finding Balance in Daily Life. If you are anything like me, the back to school era is always more chaotic than I'd like. We are taking a creative approach by making a 'mind map' which is a fun, visual way to explore a topic.

All you need is paper, a pen, and an open mind. Colored pencils, markers, crayons,
or collage materials are welcome and encouraged if you feel like adding a little
embellishment.

Elemental Wellness is a Functional Medicine practice based in NJ. Visit www.elementalwellness.health for more information and to sign up for the Wellness Workshop.
