• Lift Each Other Up: In Hailey’s memory, let's commit to fostering a community of support. Check on your classmates. Share your notes. Celebrate every small victory together. The journey is easier and more meaningful when we walk it side-by-side. Be the friend, the mentor, and the helping hand that Hailey always was.

• Sit by Example: Live with the integrity, passion, and empathy that she embodied every day. Show the world what a truly dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional looks like, both inside and outside the classroom.

We’re honored to announce that the foundation is preparing to make its first donation to a selected candidate at UTRGV!

This marks a beautiful milestone in our mission to support aspiring nurses and carry forward Hailey‘s light and legacy.

🦋Stay tuned-We’ll be posting soon with the requirements and detailed information about the donation process.

We’re committed to ensuring the guidelines reflect the spirit of compassion and excellence that Hailey embodied🫶

A verse  close to the heart of every nurse, reminding us of the strength and grace and service.

The Code Nobody Called

We run when the alarm sounds.
We know the drills.
Code blue. Code red. Code stroke.
We move like choreography—
no hesitation, no stumble.

But there are other codes
no one calls overhead.
No crash cart for the one
crying in the supply closet.
No rapid response
for the nurse whose hands won’t stop shaking
after the third death tonight.

We can shock a heart.
We can stop a bleed.
But who stops the slow hemorrhage
of hope, of sleep, of soul?

We tape smiles over exhaustion,
jokes over despair.
We cover our own wounds
with the same gloves we wear for others.
We chart vitals that aren’t ours—
while ours go unchecked.

There’s no code for
the shift that breaks you.
No code for
the patient you can’t forget.
No code for
the silence you carry home.

And yet—
we still respond.
To each other.
To ourselves.
A coffee slipped into a shaking hand.
A shoulder offered in the hallway.
A look that says,
“I see you. Survive this with me.”

We are trained for emergencies.
But we were born for empathy.
Even in the codes nobody calls,
we still show up.
We still try.
We still keep each other alive.
