Through our PSJA Rising Stars Musical Theatre Camp, talented middle school students from across the district are developing their skills in acting, singing, dancing, set design, makeup, and technical theatre while preparing for future opportunities in our award winning high school theatre programs.

Our first Elementary Esports Tournament hosted by our PSJA Instructional Technology Department brought together students from six PSJA ISD elementary schools for a Mario Kart championship filled with teamwork, strategy, and friendly competition.

PSJA ISD has received a five-year renewal approval from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for its Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Local Designation System, reaffirming the district's ability to recognize, reward, and retain highly effective educators through the state's performance-based designation program.
The renewal application, submitted in Spring 2026, was approved by TEA following a rigorous review and validation process. As part of the renewal process, the district refined and strengthened elements of its designation system to ensure continued alignment with state standards and best practices.

PSJA ISD is continuing to redefine what is possible for students through a new partnership with UTSA - The University of Texas at San Antonio, launching the UTSA Film Studies Academy as part of the district's nationally recognized PSJA Early College Program beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.
The academy will provide students with the opportunity to earn up to 18 college credit hours toward UTSA's Undergraduate Film Minor in Film Studies while still in high school, creating a unique pathway for students interested in film, media production, digital storytelling, screenwriting, and related creative industries.

PSJA ISD is celebrating a significant milestone in its commitment to innovative teaching and learning as six district educators have been accepted into Texas Tech University's prestigious Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Blended and Personalized Learning.
This achievement stems from a strategic partnership established through the district's participation in the Texas Education Agency's Blended Learning Grant initiative.
The collaboration began after district representatives attended an informational session at the Blended Learning Grant Fall Summit.
