Last night, around 9:10 firefighters were dispatched to a first alarm in the Hunters Glen subdivision. The initial call came in is as a fire on a deck. First in units arrived with heavy fire in the back of the structure that extended into living space. Thankfully no one was home and no injuries occurred.

CodeRED is being replaced and will no longer be available for Jefferson County 911 Dispatch notification alerts beginning in October, 2023. We are now registering Jefferson County citizens to receive notifications from our new emergency alert system, Everbridge.
Everbridge is an emergency alert system that works similar to CodeRED. It allows subscribers to receive alerts and information pertaining to police, fire, severe weather, health and safety. Registration is simple and you pick the delivery method: text, email, or a phone call. Scan the QR code or visit the website listed below to register.
Back to School Time! With area schools winding up ￼for a new year we wanted to take a moment and remind everyone to be on the look out for buses on area roads.
Out and about this weekend? Why not help us say THANK YOU to our amazing Fill the Boot partners. The following departments will be out collecting this weekend:
- Dunklin Fire Protection District will be out Friday from 5-7pm and Saturday from 9am-12pm at State Road Z and I-55
- Crystal City Fire Department will be out at Walmart from 8am to 12pm on Saturday
- Community Fire L2665 will be out again on Saturday from 11-1pm at Charles Rock Road and Ashby
Update 7/11/2023 @3:45PM: The wells are starting back up at this time. When your water returns, the 24 Hour Boil Advisory will begin.
There is a massive water main break that is affecting all of the City of Pevely. The city is currently on a boil water advisory. We do not know how long this will be in place and is only for water that is being consumed - water used for showering, brushing your teeth, cooking, and doing laundry does not need to be boiled before use. We will update the website and page as we get additional information.
We have been made aware of a water main break in the City of Pevely. At this time, we do not have any additional information, but will update Facebook and the website as any information becomes available.
With the up coming 4th of July holiday we would like to remind everyone of a few safety tips for your holiday celebration. Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

The Dunklin Fire District is currently out working with a large number of down power lines and trees from this evenings storms.
With night falling we ask that you do not survey any storm damage on your own due to the possibility of live electric lines that might not be visible on the ground. If you feel there is any danger please call 911.
