The JPAD Paramedics Recovery Fund has been established at First State Community Bank for anyone who wishes to donate to our two Paramedics injured in the vehicle accident on July 12th.

Dunklin firefighters will be in the parade tomorrow evening to help celebrate and congratulate the Herculaneum Highschool class of 2020! Congratulations graduates!
The Senior Parade is tomorrow evening at 6pm. Ideally, there will be one senior per vehicle, and they will be riding in the passenger's seat. The lineup will take place in the parking lot next to the football field. Please back your vehicle into every other parking spot. We can't wait to see you again. We will be live-streaming the parade on this page.

MoDOT will be placing an emergency lane drop on I-55 tomorrow Friday, March 13 during daytime hours as crews work to clear fallen rocks. The right lane on NB I-55 between Pevely and Barnhart will be closed from approximately 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow

Dunklin Fire Protection District is currently accepting applications for Firefighter/ EMT. Minimum qualifications are 21 years of age, Firefighter 1 and 2 and Missouri EMT license.
Applications can be picked up in person Monday through Friday 8am-4pm from Dunklin Fire Protection District, 1987 Hwy Z Pevely, MO 63070.
Applications must be turned in by 4pm on Friday January 31, 2020

Saturday December 21 9am-12pm, Santa will be at the fire station for photos and visiting.

Dunklin Firefighters would like to remind everyone of the fall back time change tonight. When you change your clocks you should also change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors! Remember smoke alarms have a life span of 7-10 years but batteries should be changed every 6 months!
Dunklin Firefighters have kicked off their annual non-perishable food drive for the Jefferson County Rescue Mission. We will be collecting donations at the fire station until December 20, 2019.

Battle of the Badges Blood Drive Hosted by JPAD
THANK YOU!(An understatement for the selfless gift of life given!) Last week was the 2nd Annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive! Which was a great success due to the 82 donors & several volunteers! 89 units of blood collected! Potential to save 267 lives through blood product donation! We can't wait to see you next year!

Monday July 1st Highway Z will be closed both directions @ Wagon Wheel Road for road repairs. The closure is scheduled to take place from 8 am to 4 pm. Please plan accordingly.
Another round of severe weather heading our way. Please have a way to receive weather alerts and warnings.
9PM UPDATE...The severe weather threat has ended across the area.
Strong to severe thunderstorms will move in from the southwest this afternoon, first across southwestern Missouri. Then spread northeastward across the forecast area. Storms are forecast to be near Jefferson City and Ironton by 4 PM, St. Louis metro area between 5 and 7 PM, and then into the Quincy, Litchfield, and Salem Illinois areas by 8 PM. The main threats are large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes. Remember to have a way of receiving weather warnings, and take a few moments to think about where you could take shelter if bad weather was heading your way.
Another chance for strong storms today into this evening, keep an eye on the sky!
Be prepared for more severe weather tonight! The outlook has been upgraded and we expect severe thunderstorms to impact the region again tonight! Large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes are all possible.

JPAD would like to congratulate these firefighters on completing a 10-week Emergency Medical Responder Course. This course will suffice the requirements set forth by JPAD medical direction in providing quality care for victims of illness or injury in our district. These men represent a dedication and commitment to our community aimed at delivering the best care possible to their neighbors. Also pictured is lead instructor Captain Ken Strathmann and assisting instructor Paramedic Tim Todd.
