It's Cole Porter Festival week! Visit the Miami County Museum to explore our comprehensive Cole Porter Exhibit and discover more about Miami County's rich history on our three floors of exhibits. Our special hours of operation for this week are as follows: Thursday from 9am to 4pm, Friday open to the public 1 pm to 4 pm, Saturday from 9am to 3pm, and Sunday from 10am to 3pm. Celebrate the Peru Visual Arts Festival tomorrow (Saturday, May 9th 2026)! The Youth Plein Air Class by J.O. Buffington will take place inside the Miami County Museum from 11am -Noon. The museum will be open from 9am-6pm.

Come enjoy Saturday's Peru Visual Arts Festival!
Youth can participate in the youth plein air competition.
Everyone can take part in the photo competition.
Vote for your favorite people's choice art piece in the Miami County Museum
Interact with artists in the Artwalk tents.
Enjoy performances from the Miami Indian Drummers, Beat Roots, Peru Amateur Circus, Barrel Scrapers Bluegrass, and Lisa van der Ploeg with an America's 250 tribute.

The Peru Visual Arts Festival is coming soon - Saturday, May 9! This year we are honoring America's 250th with special mural painting and performances.

Artists of all ages, sign up for the People's Choice Competition and submit artwork Saturday, May 2, inside the Miami County Museum. See details on the sign up page of peruvisualartsfestival.org.

The Peru Visual Arts Festival (PVAF), brought to you by Miami County Artisan Gallery, is a free One Day Festival of Art & Art Activities, located in downtown Peru, from 10 am-6 pm, May 9th. For more information or to sign up, visit peruvisualartsfestival.org!

The Miami County Museum will be closed on Saturday, April 11th, in order to participate in the 25th Annual Prehistoric Artifact Show, which is sponsored by The Indiana Archaeological Society. Please visit us at the 4-H Fairgrounds between 8am and 3pm, where we will be showcasing some of our artifacts.

Need a last-minute daytime date idea for Valentine's Day? The Miami County Museum, located at 51 N Broadway, Peru, IN, offers an intriguing option. Our three floors showcase the region's rich history, and our gift shop provides an opportunity to find a meaningful last-minute gift. We are open Tuesday through Friday from 9am to 4pm and Saturday from 9am to 3pm. Admission is free-will donation.
