Grief has a weird way of rerouting your entire life. At least, it has for me. Five years ago, my goals felt clear. I wanted to create. I wanted to serve my community. I never planned on having children, and I had a vision.

In late 2021, Syd and I opened Bloom, and everything seemed to fall into place. Then life surprised me with my perfect baby boy in 2023, and naturally, my priorities began to shift as I stepped into motherhood.

Later that year, my momma (pictured above) was diagnosed with breast cancer. Once again, priorities shifted. This past December, my sweet momma lost her battle, and my world changed in ways I never expected.

I’m sad, grief ridden, heart-broken, angry. I am feeling all of the normal emotions. But one thing that shocked me- the mindset shift that came along with losing her.

My priority is my family. Time is precious. And it’s something that you can’t get back. Running a business, at this point in my life, takes too much of my focus away from my family, and my own well-being. I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to step away from Bloom.

Even though closing this chapter breaks my heart, it’s making space for the next chapter to begin.

I am eternally grateful for the confidence you guys have had in me, and the support you have shown. I’m not saying that this is goodbye for forever. But it is definitely goodbye, for now.

Gosh, what an amazing 4.5 years it’s been with almost 400 customers in my chair.

I owe you an apology for being quiet and slow to respond. Over the last few months, my heart and focus were with my sweet mom as she was passing. She sadly left this earth in December. I stepped away to be present, to grieve, and to heal.
Thank you for your patience, kindness, and grace during this time. I’m so grateful for this community and will be easing back into messages and bookings over the next few weeks.
