Giving Day is Today, December 3rd, 2024! Please consider supporting the EVAC Project!

EVAC Project uses storytelling and art to connect veterans and artists to educate the public about life in the military. We launched a new phase for the EVAC Project, to expand its reach beyond exhibitions. We launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund printing of a BOOK! We received a grant from the Ohio Humanities Council to fund design but need to raise money for the actual printing costs.

By supporting this project, you’re supporting a program that has been shown to inspire empathy in its viewers and the participating veterans and artists. An independent evaluator in 2020 found that 86% of visitors found the exhibition changed their thoughts about veterans. Veterans believed the art captured their experiences, and that they used the art to start conversations about their military experiences they wouldn’t have otherwise had. Artists felt proud to be part of the project, felt a personal connection to the veteran storytellers, and wanted above all to create art that represented, respected, and pleased them. Please check out the Kickstarter campaign, share wherever you can and support if you are able! Thank you
