The first full moon, (Wolf Moon) of 2026 in full swing. Decided to take a few photos and layer them together to improve the overall image quality. This is a compilation of 100 images all stacked and edited. Intentionally underexposed the shots slightly to prevent the loss of detail. 30 minutes shooting time wasn't too bad. I do need a faster computer however for high-resolution image stacking. The original image is 2.4GB. This one is of course greatly reduced.

With all the photos flooding in with the recent Northern Lights giving us a show this month, most may have forgotten the Full Beaver Moon on November 5th. So I thought I would show you what I was able to capture. This is a twenty image stacked composite using a Nikon Z7ii with a 500mm lens hand-held. Of course stacking adds dimension and color to any subject.
Set up two cameras and started shooting the Northern Lights in Oklahoma. The following 1 minute 23 second video is the compressed version of what I witnessed in the short 1 hour, 45 seconds of actual actual shooting time. And I would do it again too, if it ever comes back.
Time lapse video created by taking 750 images spanning 60 minutes and combining them into video format to create a 20 second clip. Even managed to record a few stars the were visible between the breaks in the cloud deck.
Not the best conditions for taking photographs, but make due with what you have. You might be surprised.
I am looking forward to a nice sunny day with mild temps.

Comet C/2023 A3, better known as Tsuchinshan-Altas; graced the western skies just after sunset on October 15, 2024. It was faint to the naked eye, but the camera did its job.
