🌟 Tribute Tuesday Honoring Gloria Walker 🌟

Loaves and Fishes has been a hit over the last few weeks, and this week is no different as we continue highlighting the amazing people who serve our community.

This week, we proudly honor Gloria Walker for her decades of compassion, dedication, and love for others through Loaves and Fishes.

Gloria’s journey of service began when she first became involved with Loaves and Fishes. During a season of life when she was caring for her daughter, who was born with cerebral palsy, Gloria found purpose, friendship, and a way to serve others. She treasured every moment helping her daughter learn to walk, and through that experience, she discovered a place where she could also make a difference.

Gloria’s servant heart has never stopped. She conducts interviews for families seeking assistance through Loaves and Fishes, prepares food bags for each family, helps guide volunteers through the process, assists with Publix food donations, and helps keep the storage area organized and stocked.

When asked about her years of service, Gloria simply says she has been serving so long she cannot even keep up anymore and she just shows up and does what needs to be done.

Gloria also shared the special friendship she had with Mrs. Avalyn Pope and how helping her and her daughter played an important role in her love for Loaves and Fishes.

Her dedication is a beautiful example of how one person’s quiet consistency can impact generations of families.
