🎨👾 Collaboration, creativity, and community at its best! 👾🎨

Our Bonaire Primary Beautiful Builders Club second graders recently had an unforgettable opportunity to bring their imaginations to life through an incredible collaboration with the Veterans High School Art Department!

The students began by designing their own unique monsters full of personality, creativity, and fun details. Those original drawings were then sent to talented Veterans High School clay students, who carefully transformed the children’s ideas into real ceramic sculptures using clay. The results were absolutely amazing!

This week, the elementary students and high school artists finally got to meet in person at Bonaire Primary. Together, they painted the clay monsters, shared conversations about art and creativity, and celebrated the teamwork that made the project possible.

This experience was so much more than an art lesson. It was:
✨ A chance for young students to see their ideas valued and brought to life
✨ An opportunity for high school students to mentor and encourage younger artists
✨ A beautiful example of collaboration across grade levels
✨ A celebration of creativity, problem solving, and community connections through the arts

We are incredibly proud of our Beautiful Builders Club students for their imagination and enthusiasm, and so thankful to the Veterans High School Art Department for investing their talent and time into making this experience so meaningful.

Thank you also goes to the art teachers, Jennifer Gotrich (BPS) and Sarah Harlow (VHS), for making this happen!

The future of the arts is bright in Houston County! 💙🖌️👾

Each year, thousands of school districts in over 40 states participate in local and state-level competitions for NAPT's National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest. They select artwork that depicts school bus safety-related themes and encourages and promotes school bus safety. The winning posters are used to promote safer school transportation for everyone.

We want to congratulate Perry Middle School 7th grader, Victoria Horton, for winning 1st Place in Category 4 at the state-level for NAPT's National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest! Her poster is now going to Nationals! Great job, Victoria!
